There is a fine line between wet and runs (Insert jokes at will)...

Humidity plays into it some, temperature plays in big time, what speed hardener are you using and what's your temps been while painting?

what temp reducer are you using?
Looks like the reducer is evaporating to fast resulting in the paint not leveling and the gun could be a bit out of adjustment with a little to much air.
Spray a test spray on a peice of white paper the pattern should be a solid long skinny oval that is mostly solid if I isn't a dust the screws till you get a nice pattern.

The usual rule if thumb is. 50 and below use a fast hardener, 50-80 use a medium hardener, and above 80 use a slow hardener.

What gun you using?

You are almost there. What buffer machine are you using by the way and what pad?

I just noticed the date on this post but will respond anyway incase someone else needs the information.

As a general rule, orange peel (when the surface looks like an orange) is the result of the paint not being atomized properly. That means that there is too much liquid and not enough air pressure. If you are getting that with single stage or clear coat you can often get by with more coats and then a lot of wet sanding it smooth and buffing. If it is clear, and you sand too far, if the base is metallic, you could have problems because the base will need to be resprayed. Spraying more on top will not smooth it out. That will only make it worse.
