Paint

If are not in a hurry keep an eye out for MAACO Paint ads usually in the sport page section. They do not compare with a custom $6,000.00 job but do a respectable job. This time of years they seem to have some sales.

If you do the proper prep work, and let maaco only spray it, it'll probably turn out pretty well

That's the biggest issue with the quality of work that maaco puts out.. Is they just tape stuff off. Instead of removing taillights headlight assemblies etc.. Also the sanding priming etc..

Most of the time the cheap job they just sand, tape and spray.. And do a bad job..

Several people so they're own prep work and have them spray it.. Hell Chris 95F350Xl has his trucks painted at maaco

There is nothing wrong with Macco, you just have to be willing to pay more than $299 for the work/materials. I won't paint a vehicle for less than $500 and that's a small econobox...

Something else that comes to my mind..for those on a tight budget, without paint equipment,or just dont want to tackel bodywork & paint,Check with your local High School Body shop Instructor...they do all the work and paint for the cost of materials and a small donation..the kids are taught basic bodywork, welding, minor collision ect ect as JR's working and practicing on panels first...then the real deal as SR's...I had this cougar done in 2005,droped it off at the beginning of the school yr,got it back at Christmas Break.be warned it does take them some time to do,due to classroom time constraints but they do respectable work under instructor supervision....and you cant beat the cost...alot of folks gave me respectable compliments on this car, when i told them it was done by High school kids...they couldnt believe it in all seriousness...
