Hillbilly Hot Rod

Thought I`d put up some pics of my buggy project.

It`s a K-5 Blazer frame with a cage from a 97 Windpusher dirt modified. It was built by a Chevy guy. I helped skin it and won a trophy at the local bogs. Then he sold it, got it back with no engine, and gave it to me.
I`ve already hung the Dana 60 front, that`s a 10.25 dually rearend almost mounted, it`s going to be powered by a 351w with a T-19 and a 13-56.
By the way, that`s a 35x14 Ground Hawg next to the 42x25x20 that will be going on it.

Thought I should get back on this. Hey it`s been a year.

I`m going to use the 302 that was in my 94 F-150 for the time being because I already have a clutch and flywheel, and I haven`t got the 351 finished yet.

The stuff I took off it.

I`m real sure this engine has 250,000 miles on it. I say real sure because I bought it with 140,000 and it seemed pretty oe.

Engine porn!

Work is 5 miles away straight up the secondary road I live on. Sooo, there is the possibility of me slapping some 35`s on it and driving it every now and then just cause I can but not very often. It`s main mission is to bomb around the neighborhood, and go to the local mud bogs.

Thanks for the comments. They help with my motivation.

Ordered this the other day. Doesn`t look to bad. For $50 I`m willing to try it.

Also got him pushed into the garage and started working on getting the engine and trans mounts figured out.

Yep, the whole thing. Shipped to my door for $48.00. If anybody is interested you can get them at www.skipwhiteperformance.com. It`s a brand new unit that is pretty nice looking. Hopefully I should know how it works in a month or so.

Did you mean this Cougar?

I got it a couple of years ago. It was a running and driving car, if you consider a worn out idler arm, no front shock bushings, and wandering all over the road driveable.

Then the po melted the shifter cable, dropped an exhaust pipe, and went to jail.

I towed it home and now I`m trying to get it to run but it won`t crank. I`ve changed the ignition switch because it wasn`t being all it could be, put a new starter switch and cable on it, and swapped ground cables.

When you try to crank it with the key the voltage regulator clicks and nothing happens. It won`t roll if you jump the s terminal, but it will if you jump the two large ones. IDK. And my test light is AWOL.
