85 chebby rust remediation

This is a project that has actually gotten dumped into my lap oddly enough.. started out with dad working on it.. now its become shawn has to fix it because its sat so much and someone else isnt capable anymore... so lately ive been doing rust remediation.. cutting out bad spots and welding in good stuffs... (some places fighting a losing battle..) started off with someone else cutting holes in the floor to remove stuck body bolts.. then moved into lets make the holes disappear from the inside to keep the exhaust out..

unfortunately ill have to post pics later when im home.. site says i cant upload the pics..

i worked on this part a few months ago... like the pretty hole??

bye bye rusty sheet metal..

corner piece in...

little holes for the spot welds...

last weekend i welded in a new seal grip rail since the original went out with the old sheet metal...

that corner piece was fun...

what a good body bolt hold should look like... nice and square to hold the bolt in place... (someone in the past welded the bolts to the floor... probably for the very reason the hole was rotted out)

what a bad one looks like next to the one i was making..

bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt...
