1978 F150 Timing problem

I have a 1978 F150 with a 400 motor, Edelbrock intake and a carter 600 carburetor. The problem that I am having is the timing keeps changing after it is set. I start by adjusting the engines idle to 750 to 800 RPM and set the timing to 12 degrees BTC, then check RMP to see if still with in the 750 to 800 range. The Truck runs great for a day or two then runs like crap, I check the timing and it is way off. 26 + degrees. I have check for vacuum leaks and found none, I have replaced the following: timing chain, distributor w vacuum advance, ignition control module, harmonic balancer and carburetor with a new one.

Any help please:headbang:
