1986 supercab

Got new rims mounted this morning. Good bye little stockers. My previous pics showed the truck with 39 inch superswamper irocks. I try to keep them for off pavement use. The tires i removed today were 31" on the stock rims. The new rims are 16 x 10 with 4 inch back space. The tires I had from a different truck 315/ 75 -16 or 35x12.50 here are some pics.

Nice. The truck even goes good with the Wendy's building.

Getting the 39.5 super swamped Irocks mounted on some 15x10 rims this morning. Then it will be ready for a bush run haha. Iv been needing an excuse to try out the new winch....

So its been a bit since I've made some posts here, but made some life changes for the good.

The truck has undergone some upgrades. RCV axleshafts are installed in the front. The lockers are installed in front and rear axles. Installed a new clutch kit and new flywheel. Had her out for a test run last night. Everything worked well. The CV shafts do wonders for steering back and forth to get unstuck. Only issue was clutch line leaking and no clutch pedal so I just floated the gears home last night. Here are some pics of axle install and after some testing

The tires are OK, they work great aired down. I figured they were the next closest thing to a bogger but radial and 10ply with a longer tread life. But stupid price on them. I got a good deal on them when I bought 4 but then 2 years later another 1 tire to replace one that got chewed a bit it was around 375 or 400 before tax.

Oh yeah! Thanks.... Finally gave the lockers and front axles a workout with the 35 inch tires. This weekend coming up I'll have the 39 inch spwmpers on it . Going for a full day run with a local off road club. I'll have some more pics

So this weekend the local off road club went wheeling. I got too join them. Here are a few pics. Sorry no action pics. I didn't have a copilot to get them so they are all stationary. On a side note the club wants to name me the official recovery vehicle. I had all the right tools, straps, snatch blocks, shackles and clevis's. Even had my generator, electric impact, big floor jack and lots of other things. Got to pull a few people out, winch people a couple of times and changed someone's flat on the trail. They said that was the fastest tire change thew saw anywhere let alone in the bush

After the run was over there was still a broken truck in the trail, so I hung back with another truck and he brought some parts and put it back together enough to limp it off the trail and back home. The pic of the tire in the stream was them helping change the superswampers off for my little street tires and one got away from him
