1972 F250 camper special with 4.9L Inline 6

It wont pass emissions and I think the valves and camshaft need replaced. I need help determining which parts I need and if its worth doing it myself or paying someone a small fortune to do it. I just bought it to turn into daily driver just to work and back. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

It depends on what is causing to not pass, if it is the valve guides worn and letting oil pass or if they aren't seating effectively lowering compression. The cam itself usually doesn't cause problems like that unless the lobes are worn down. Vacuum leaks tend to be one of the biggest reasons vehicles can't meet emissions.

Belt squeal can be as simple as just needing to be a bit tighter, or the belts could be glazed and need replaced.
