As long as you aren't expecting to win or make money at it it should be tons of fun! Racing is all about the $$$ though.. and a good team. Does sound like a lot of fun though.

No aspiration changes...the jeeps are running strokers on their 4.0's, so everything up to strokers I assume are ok...but I'll have to check if there are ci restrictions.

Yeah...no way I'd expect to win out the gate, would need way more invested than I'm willing to do at the moment to be competitive.

Heads, cams, strokers (maybe), headers...everything is alright, as long as that engine could have come with the vehicle. It's an offroad endurance style race...alot of turns you're going to want to hit 45 asap when exiting, jumps, probably an average speed between 25 and 35. A couple tracks do have long straights that guys say it's extremely helpful to be able to hit 70-75mph though. I figure my wheelhouse would be able to hit 60 asap, and gearing would probably limit top speed to begin with.

Yeah...I'm trying to work out a deal with a guy on FSB...he has the perfect rig, and exactly what I'm looking for. However, he's about 11 hours away from me. The price is right, but needs to be better to offset transportation. Not only that, but let's be honest...I need another rig, like I need a poke in the eye. I don't have time to work on the rigs I currently have, like I'll find time for another one...although it could be motivating.

ok just read the rules.. doesnt seem like the rule book covers fuel delivery changes..

also doesnt talk about internal engine mods..

those are 2 things i'd be checking around on..

cause if there are no limits on internal engine mods or heads etc.. as well as fuel delivery..

i have a pretty good idea on where to head with this...

while keeping it cheap and you wont even really need to yank the engine out unless you wanna do a full rebuild..

I figure being an offroad race rig, efi is the way to go. I'm pretty sure the only restriction is forced induction...beyond that, I'd still have to check on max cubes. The rig I'm eyeballing really hard is a 91.
