As I plan a couple more electrical mods for the Ranger, I thought I'd share these two sources of information here. Remember, it is your responsibility to verify that the information in these mods, how you elect to use it and the safety and performance of the results are your responsibility and nobody elses. If you are not sure of something, ask first.

This link shows how to modify a vehicle so that the radio (and/or the power windows, etc) stays on until the door is opened. It is worth noting (and I will be doing) that with minimal extra work, the 30 min battery saver circuit in mid 90's and up Fords can be used to depower the radio, etc delay circuit.

The next link shows several basic circuits that can be used to create many mods, both as prescribed by the circuit or with your added creativity and ingenuity. The link below goes directly to relay circuits, but if you roam the site you will see that there is useful information that a guy can put to use on many other mods. For example, some people like th have their power door locks lock when they shift into drive; if that's you then the info is on the site. And for that matter, with a little creativity, you could build things such that the doors unlocked when the vehicle is placed in park. At any rate, here you go and let the builds begin!!!

**** These mods are not Ford specific. Also, it's noted that both links push the large, 40A relay. Realistically and in light of how many of the circuits draw miniscule amounts of current (pay attention to what you are doing), there is no reason why a person can't use the smaller 20/25A relays.
