Need a little help.. I have an f250 1997 powerstroke automatic bad engine and trans and I have an 1988 f150 inline six 5 speed. in good running condition.. what is neccesary to swap the engine and trans from the f150 into the 1997 f250? Engine mounts from the f150 harnass and ecu.. and full fuel system? Clutch pedal assembly? What else will I need? Reason : f250 is nicer and the f150 is rusted but has a good drive train.. and its just a daily driver. No need to be fast the mighty 6 is enough for my needs and gets good fuel mileage

if i use an harnass from an 1994 4.9 six will it be easier to plug and play into the 1996 F250 harnass?

and any one has an F250 extended cab longbed 2WD driveshaft lengt for me? thanks!

the good drivetrain F150 4.9 - 5 speed manual

the 1996 F250 (bad) powerstroke and trans A/C working good

its just dirty but its in very good body and interior condition
and maybe but just maybe i will throw the powerstrokes turbo on the mighty 300 lol!

The F250 will make a nice truck. I can't help you on the wiring, but I would think that you would need a 4x4 e40d trans instead of one from a 2wd if you want it to be a plug and play process. The tail-shaft will be different on a 4x4 trans vs a 2wd trans.

Yes agreed and im gonna use a 4x4 e4od that means I can use stock driveshaft and its a plug and play and yes I have an ecm thats for a 4.9 / e4od so no worries my friend

Dash wiring is different with timers and Cluster . BUt ought to be easy to figure out .

And the 300 will move the F250 just fine. Tho with auto don't know . I like a heavy truck to haul things once in while . And the smaller motor for better MPG myself
