I have a Econoline set up for carpet cleaning. My carpet cleaner is outfitted with a 1973 1600cc Pinto motor.Yesterday while cleaning the machine started missing. Upon inspection I found the coil arcing between the primary, positive and negative terminals. I had to put electrician's tape over the exposed terminals to finish the job. This coil is installed probably a few years back. Besides hairline cracks is there any other concerns to consider? Thanks for your responses.
