“This isn't war, it's a Detroit block party.”

"An unprecedented truck war is raging in Detroit.

Is it possible for the all-new Ram 1500 or Chevy Silverado to cut into the dominating market share of the best-selling Ford F-150 and F-Series pickups?

Consumers are buying. Bean counters are watching, with billions of dollars on the line."

Ram's strategy is the only one that might get one of the Big 3 within striking distance. DISCOUNT trucks.

All it's going to take is another gas shortage/crisis...and it'll all come tumbling down again. The economy stumbles, we'll be back to talking about hypermiling. The best economic KPI's are the size of the vehicles being purchased and which restaurant parking lots are full.

As a brand, FCA leapfrogged Ford in sales last month. Never thought I'd be posting that in a million years.

What you said... to someone that has no prior brand loyalty buying a pickup it would be hard not to go with Ram. The options you get for the price are way ahead of GM or Ford from what I've seen. Also seeing more base Ram fleet trucks running around - when a bean counter that will never actually see it, much less drive it, is doing the buying it's easy to steal market share by being the low bidder

Jenny's picking up her Power Wagon on Monday. This will be her 5th Dodge, but first 2500. As .gov works, you have to be a Manager/Divisional head to order the proper pickup for your job description. It did come through sans graphics. For what she uses them for, she loves 'em.
