Leak at rear Shaft/Differential

It's an 06 Excape 4wd.
Thought it was leaking at cover so I have everything here on hand to reseal it. Rolled under it and the cover/mating surface is still clean where I wiped it off yesterday. Upon further inspection it appears to be leaking where the pumping shaft goes in.

My Haynes Manuel doesn't say much about this. So my question is, is there a seal that's replaceable if so can it be done in vehicle or will I need to remove entire diff assembly? Also noticed the diff is in two pieces. front half has six bolts holding it together.
Thanks in advance, Kyle.

Hi Kyle...Grant it im not up to speed on the escape as far as the proceedure..but there is a pinion seal that is serviceable without removing the differential..from my understanding there are special tools to aid in the job..what they are im sure someone will chime in.
