My 2010 F150 is sitting at 98,000 miles and had its first big issue. Looks like it blew spark plug #3 the other day. That will be fixed and some maintenance stuff done. Should be back on the road Wednesday.

If I remember right, he had the 4.6. It didn't have spark plug issues in mass, did it? Did it blow out the socket while operating?

Not sure if it's the camera angle or not, but your old one seems quite a bit smaller than the new one.

Wow, was that still under warranty...awesome.

Cam phasers and prematurely worn camshafts are known issues with 3V mod motors. Best case scenerio, heads, phasers, and cam replacement. Worst case- $6000 engine replacement. If you recall, the 3V design was the fix for spark plug blowouts, the 2V 5.4 was famous for.:spank: I've developed an entirely new level of respect for the "old tech" 5.0 and 5.8's.
