E350 axle question.

Hey all, I have a question. I have a 98 E-350 Club Wagon XLT and I know that I have the Dana 60 diff with 3.73 gears and I need to rebuild it but I keep getting asked what axles I have and how many splines. How can I find out how many splines I have without tearing it apart and counting them? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm late to the party, sorry. You probably have a sterling 10.25 axle. There is a tag on the back of the rear with a set of numbers on it. That will tell you everything you need to know.
If the tag is missing, you have to open the rear to get your information.
