I was looking over an early 80's flareside the other day and the flares reminded me of my dually flares. Are they the same? (other than the roundedness, of course)

Not much help...but I've often wondered the same thing for guys that need fenders for a flareside...why couldn't the fenders from a dually be used and vice versa????

They are shaped the same, but where they bolt on, Flareside fenders are flat, while dually fenders are shaped to fit the boxside. Austin, 80-86 dually look like yours, and 87-97 fenders would match your front fender openings. I`m sure you know this already, just puttin it out there.
