Ok, here's the dealio. I ordered metal vent covers, which were the correct size, but the hinge is a continuous hinge, and the plastic cover that I have is a 4 hinge setup, with a pin that goes all the way through, with screws on each end. I cannot find a 4 hinge, metal cover for an older trailer. I could cut the continuous hinge on the metal covers that I ordered, but I would really like to find a metal cover for a 4 hinge setup. Any ideas?

Had to go with plastic again. I can't find any metal covers that fit the pre-1994 hinge style on my trailer. I did find some that are guaranteed unbreakable.........

I hope so. The last ones were only a year old. They were very chalky already.

Find an easy way to cover them when not in use and the UV rays won't soften them.

I see they make covers for the covers, but they are about $50 each.

You could probably pick up a rubber container from ,,,,,wait for it,,,,,,,,,walmart ! for $3.
Then if you forget about it and it blows off going down the road, only out 3 bucks.

News is saying golf ball size hail 2 miles north of me. Lots of fireworks but no rain here.
