I now have a camper...

I just need to find something to tow it with, now. I was thinking about a 5th wheel setup in the back of the Bronco.

***********************
All I ask is that nobody makes fun of the tow rig. I am not a Chevy fan, at all, but this Chevy means a lot to me. This was the truck that my Grandpa took me hunting in, and hauled me around with when I was little. I have a lot of great memories spending time with one of my heros in that truck. Now that he is gone, it has a very special place in my heart.
***********************

Anyway, here is the new camper. I just pulled it to our house today from storage. It had been abandoned on our property, so we have now taken possession of it, and are waiting for title and all that stuff to be sorted out.

I parked next to a dumpster, and started unloading it, and got most everything thrown out. The interior is not in horrible shape, mostly just has not been cleaned in a while.

I have no idea what it is. I found a little sticker on the front drivers side, all I could make out on it was that it was made in 1990. The rest, including the VIN is unreadable. Is there another data plate on these things somewhere?

This camper had a 5th wheel pinbox on it, but we don't have a 5th wheel receiver on the farm, so I stole the goose neck pinbox off of my dads new camper and very redneckily attached it to this camper. Yes, it is a DOT nightmare, but I was only moving it 2 miles on our country roads.

I need to get a goosneck pinbox that fits this camper, I don't want 5th wheel parts taking up space in the box.

I didn't grab pics of the interior, but I will get those tomorrow. We are going to get it cleaned out, fix up the minor interior damage, and have some fun. I am trying to think of ways to spruce up the exterior, but am not sure yet. I see bedliner in its future...

That's a nice sized camper.
Can't beat the price on that one.
No grief on the trucks brand here family memories cancel out brand and logo anyday.

Yeah Randy, agree on the family memories. Since I didn't have any family whatsoever to have any vehicle memories in, I can be partial to what I already own or what I will own, PLUS, I can start building those Ford memories in my kids!

Nice 5er Josh! Start by washing the outside thoroughly to get the oxidation off... You'll be surprised at the difference it will make. Rvs oxidize horrendously.

And I have no problems with your tow vehicle I have more GMs than Fords

What should I wash it with? Soapy water? What kind of soap? I think I need to get a long brush...

Dish soap and water for the first wash. After that you can use regular car soap.

Dish soap or laundry soap work well...

Check the roof and make sure there are no cracks or problems. Don't use regular calking if you see something. There is a self leveling calk you use on campers.

Get me some pictures of the 5th wheel set up on the trailer, I may have something for you here, I have 2 different types. ( both ends, trailer and truck)

Hopefully, when you clean out the inside you will find some documentation, such as an owner's manual which might include a receipt with a VIN number.
