Very cool...never seen a bump camper before. I've always wanted to take one of those cross country.

Wow.....this thing is cool!!!! My question is, can the rig handle all that weight? Is a cap like that really much weight anyways? My wife and I thought of finding something like this for our bump for summer camping, then take it off for winter use.

Love it...

I don't know much about the mechanics here, but I'm assuming the bed is completely off and that thing is loaded on some sort of flat bed or on the frame somehow?

It is built off of an F350 cab/chassis I assume since it looks like it has dual wheels.

Smokey, I have but it was red. :)

The wrecking/towing yard advertised it as 31,000 miles and the inside
including the red carpet and seats, everything in the cab, all looked like 31k
and no kiddin' on that either! :) But I found a registration slip showing it was
over 100k, at least.

Besides that, the alternator and something else had been replaced under the
hood making me wonder so looked for papers in the glove compartment.

Looked just like that and I would have bought it too but it was from the rust
belt or it was drove through the rust belt one time too many to suit me.

I don't know how many they made but they made at least two of 'em. ;)

Made by "Pullman" . Looks like it follows his designs too.

I wonder if you can buy those around anywhere. I'd love to have one....would have to be in driving distance I suppose.

I know where there's another, a brown 71 or 72. It's at a jobsite I've been working at, and I think it's abandoned. I've been gonna ask about it, I may get it to just haul it off. Looks just about like that 70, other thab the paint color. I'll get some pics next week and post it here if I can.

The Alaskan Campers (and camper shells) could be cranked up, like this example.

Lower profile saves on fuel when driving, allows much more space when parked.
