Timing chain

Is there a special trick to getting the timing chain off?

According to the book, slide the top gear off after aligning the marks (I did that), yet that SOB is not about to move easily.

Puller needed?

I get underneath with a pry bar on each side of the 'gear' for equal pressure, and go to town. Be careful with your face though.

Like Ben stated but I use 2 screwdrivers. If you have a small 2 jaw gear puller that will help.
