We like trucks up here...you would be amazed just how many trucks you will see on the road.

I noticed. I've been searching Kijiji a few times over the last month or so. I usually bring it down to just Fords, and then I have to bring it down to certain years because there's so many. I mainly look for the higher trim 80-81 trucks. There's an abundance of them up there for sale. Over on eff tee ee, there's been an influx of new users from Canada coming on with their higher trim level 80-81 trucks too.

The reason I can't find a dang Ranger Lariat radio bezel is because they're all in Canada in trucks that still run. :headbang:

Probably!

How bad is the rust up in Canadia?

Depends on the area...east coast can be bad, a lot of pickle mix is used on the roads in winter everywhere...west province (British Columbia) probably has the best condition vehicles. A lot of guys will wash their trucks weekly in winter and keep them in heated garages...trucks can stay good for years.

Western Canada is a hot spot for luxury western themed Trucks

The amount of King Ranch trucks in Alberta and Saskatchewan is astronomical

I am seeing more Dodge Rams since they are almost giving them away though

My town here in Alberta has More Ford Trucks than the opposition Gm and Dodge

I've noticed a few things on our many trips to the Gulf Islands in Western Canada (Canadian side of the San Juans).

1. There's an amazing amount of pristine, older vehicles with Canukistani plates still on the road.

I suspect there's two reasons for this:

1. Taxes are higher in Canukistan and

2. Traditionally, the average Canadian doesn't earn what the average American does on the other side of the border. Net result: they buy nicer vehicles new, and then keep them longer. I'm just guessing here, mind you... but I bet I'm right.

I believe that- today. Wasn't always that way though. I was thinking in terms of a decade or two ago.

Dunno Ernie...I do know that my salary was near 40k in 1989 in the oil/gas industry...but I really don't know. I think it would vary depending on locale and type of work.

Yep. Neighbor was a doctor in Tsawwassen, his wife was a Corporate Exec in Vancouver. Their salaries here are many times what they made up north. They do, however, plan on retiring north of the border when the time comes.
