Top End Rebuild/Overhaul

Hmmm, don't sound good, but hope it is just what I noticed last night, valve covers have broken open slits above some of the bolt holes, and the covers are not even, bent and warped. I used liquid metal filler, and lots of gaskets sealant, and had to pull them off twice. But holding now. Going to have to get new valve covers though.

That makes sense about the return hole plugged up, but the heads got super cleaned when I took them off. Don't see how that could happen. And the head gaskets went on right, so wouldn't be that. But interesting you mentioned because the oil pressure gauge is only erratically working, and the sensor is new, oil pump new as well.

Looks really good!
Did you flatten the Valve covers back to shape after pulling them?
It could be they are warped.
You might be right, at this point, and it may be in your best interest to just replace them.
