Has anyone tried to change wiring or switching so the fog lights will come on without the headlights or park lights being turned on? Also being able to leave the fog lights on with high beams. My F150 is a 2012.
I think there are some wiring workarounds in the fuse box, but to me, if you have your fog lights on, it is because something is diffusing the high beam lights so they would not be all that effective?
This has been done often. The simplest way to achieve this is by wiring in a new switch and fuse direct from the battery to your fog lights. You will have to disconnect the factory wiring. You probably already know this.... you are not allowed to have the fog lights to be on with the high beams on.
Due to most states requirements for fog/driving lights only to work on low beam they auto shut off on highs.. Its done that way . I can't get my trucks state inspection if change them . You would have to wire spearatly as they are tied into Parking and headlights.
