Dang...dunno how I missed this. But yes, that's exactly what I am looking to do. I was planning on using the other 4 rods/pistons as feet to the floor stabilize the table.
To date...still haven't finished my camshaft lamp, have parts for a cankshaft lamp, have a cut down bed and tailgate to make a sofa out of, and I have front clip to make a desk out of. For whatever reason, I can't seem to source any scrap blocks locally for tables and wine racks.
