Engine questions.

Hey all I finally got my garage finished and the 250 pulled in. Stripped it down to the block and found it is frozen on the #1 piston due to rust. It seems that the piston is closed to bdc but I'm not sure how to measure the stroke to see if I can free it up by moving it down or if it has to come up. Engine is still in the truck and all pistons are still connected

Soak the the cylinder(s) with a 50/50 atf/acetone mix, work the crank by hand, reapply as necessary. Could take a few days/weeks, just depends how often you work it and how much of a rush you're in. Otherwise drop the oil pan, and there should code on the crank.
