i noticed a cut in the turbo side of the intake tube. it looks like the red waste gate wire rubbed through it. what is that part called? do they make an aftermarket one? would an aftermarket one make a difference?

Wow can honestly say I have never seen that before. I call it the fresh air inlet tube. Not sure if it has an official name.

Dang ive never seen that either! For a new one id check a local junk yard or a dealership. I dont recall seeing any aftermarket stores offer that part. Might also want to check if a aftermarket air intake system bolts to the turbo.
