Installing a tach

Hey Chris...not knocking your install at all, but pushing a wire in beside a fuse is a surefire way to have problems..or even a fire. There are adaptors you can get that are pretty cheap that work well. Scroll down the page until you see the ATC or ATM plug.

Maybe in a blue moon it will burn the purple paint off and make it a decent truck.

Quick question...what gauge wire are you guys running for a tach install?

I don't think they draw much Ben, 14-12 somewhere around there should be fine I would think.

Alright...sounds good. I got a couple rolls that size somewhere.

not really, the wires are universal cut, but they fit my truck perfect with a good bit of length to spare.

Yeah, that's true forgot about that Ben - the wires were already long enough on the tach on the bronco.

I had to run my own lengths of wire. I tried to just keep it close to the size of what was on my tach. I believe I used the blue connectors if that helps you with the size. I forget offhand what size those are.
