WTF of the day

Driving down Hwy 26 towards downtown, and traffic comes to a screeching halt. This is a six-lane freeway coming into downtown from the west side. After a bit, I saw the source of the traffic chaos. Older hippy riding a horse with two pack horses in tow. On the freeway. Only in Portland.

Being in horsey land over here, I have to say that guy is Nuts!! Those horses have to be seasoned to the traffic, or he would have been dumped off.

Lol. I remember being in DC in the 80's, and got to chatting with an elderly couple. When the woman heard I was from Oregon she very sympathetically asked "Oregon? Are you still having problems with those indians out there?"

Not kidding

One of the guys I work with is from Montana... He said he was working in Virginia and somebody asked him how they get anywhere safely with all the grizzly bears. He was quite serious too...

They just told him that yeah, the bears are a huge problem out here

Only when he's peeing off the porch...

When I moved here 20 years ago my parents in OH asked if we had a McDonald's anywhere close for the kids. I asked which of the 3 McD's were they wondering about?

In 2002 when I was in Georgia, I had people asking me if we still had Indian problems in ND.

I told them yes, and I usually try to kill one a day, and i figure it's their fault for being on our land before we got there.

My wife wonders why grass won't grow in front of the porch.

Is that even legal?
