351m headers

Going to do headers on my 1980 351m.
What's the best value?
What's just the best?

Any chance any 351/400 headers bolt only the 460?

nope.

Hedman makes a good inexpensive header. The painted black ones are the cheapest but rust out the quickest too.

Hint. BBQ grill paint lasts a lot longer than header paint and is a tad cheaper. The thru hood headers on my scout haven't needed touched up yet, and they have seen some abuse and heat.

You'd think a pig would fear anything BBQ related.:rolling laugh:

But seriously, I guy I know that races snowmobiles uses grill paint on all of his pipes.

Flowtech headers are very reasonably priced for the 351M and 400M.
$129 a set for black painted headers, or $259 a set for ceramic coated headers.

At least those are the prices that I was quoted at O'reilly's.
