1990 f250 Won't start, fuel pump doesn't shutoff

sounds like you may have 2 issues. you may have a check valve gone bad in the pump. hook up a fuel pressure gauge and switch the truck on. let the truck go to full pressure on the gauge and switch the truck off. if the needle slowly falls then there is your problem.

also make sure your fuel pressure regulator isnt leaking. pull the vacuum line off and make sure its dry. i doubt this is the issue because usually when the diaphram busts, your truck will run rich.

now there is a possibel reason.. the chek valve.. or the regulator..

ok now my question is.. what is a chek valve? wil i see it when i open the tank up? is it an expensive part? how to chek it? what does it looks like? thanks
