chop or no chop

i have a 72 f250 xlt camper special I am thinkin about chopping the top any body know the best way to cut down windsheilds id only chop it like 3 or 4 inches

With that out of the way.... There's a couple different ways to drop the windshield. Either cut the glass the amount needed for the chop while keeping the dimensions correct. Or there's dropping the entire window frame into the cowling... Both will be a lot of work.

Also going to have to split the roof length and width wise to keep it looking correct.

My vote is no chop.My personal opinon,is I dont think no truck in this era
looks good with a chop top.To me,they just dont look right.I would really
think about it before you do any cuts.Perhaps look at other peoples chops,
or have a sketch made up that might help your decision.Thats my 2 cents..smilieFordlogo
 
I don't have a sketch yet because I'm working on gettin it running first it's just a thought this is for my senior project I will get er done if I have the time and the money.

Only truck I would consider chopping for the dimensions to look right would be a 2wd half ton short bed.
