Dang that thing was a grease pit! I'd have taken about three cans of carb cleaner and washed that beast off. Of course I'd have also ratteled canned it to make it look better to, but thats me. I just know all that shiny paint gives me a solid 10hp and 15lb-ft

I believe if I did that...the phrase we'd all be searching for is 'polishing a turd'. That engine/block is so far gone, it's not worth the time/money/effort to make it better than it already is. When I officially decide to yank and either have it machined or get a new short/long block...then I'll make look all nice n' purdy.
