Finally ran into a Ford that I'm not that familiar with. Bought a 92 with the 2.3 (8 plugs). Had a burned piston, so I rebuilt it. Now I have a 244 code in it (coil failure). The way I understand it, one coil shuts down after a certain period. Not sure if the right one is shutting down. No spark at the left plugs.

If you switch the coils around will there not be spark on the right side plugs? That would make me believe that coil was bad.

Check the icm it may have a bad connection or is just not good.
Should be on the intake manifold has two sets of wires off of it clean them well and reinstall with a good coating of electric grease.
The icm can be tested
