Found this in a Shelby forum:
607,568 - # of 1966 Mustangs Produced
35,698 - # of 1966 Fastback Mustangs
5,469 - # of 1966 K-code (289 HiPo) Fastback Mustangs
2,378 - # of 1966 Shelby GT350s
1,378 - # of 1966 Shelby GT350 Street Models
295 - # of 1966 Shelby GT350 Street Models in Candy Apple Red
139 - # of 1966 Shelby GT350 Street Models in Candy Apple Red with 4-speed and 10-spoke Shelby Rims as original options

I'm surprised they produced more mustangs back then then they do today.....is that because of the many different models of vehicles/sport cars available today then say 40+ years ago?
