I think I have lost my mind for good, this time...

OK, here is what I am starting with... A 2000 Mercury Mountaineer, a 1979 Bronco, a 1977 F250 351M/auto 2wd, a 1978 F250 400/4 speed 4x4, a 1979 F150 300/4 speed 4x4, a 1971 F100 (1969 grill), and a 1979 Thunderbird 351W/auto thrown in for good measure...

When the dust settles, there will hopefully be the following:

1. A Mountaineer with a 4.56 D44 and 4.56 Detroit 9" from the Bronco, a 351W from the Thunderbird, a NP435 and NP205 from the F150, mated up with a 203 doubler.

2. A 1977 F250 2wd body swapped onto a 1978 F250 4x4 frame with a 351M from 1977 F250, and NP435/NP205 from 1978 F250 4x4, BFG KM2s from the Mountaineer.

3. A 1971/69 F100 on a 1977 F250 2wd frame shortened to short box length, with a 302/auto/BW 4406 transfer case from the 2000 Mountaineer.

So, am I crazy? 'smiliecrazy'

Certainly not going to be boring around your household for the forseeable future

This should be entertaining. As much as I enjoy the old steel, I've thoroughly enjoyed watching the transformation of the Mountaineer...looking forward to what is to come.

The blue F250 is my Wifes. It has sat for a few years, and I have promised her that I would get it into shape for her. That is the main project, the others are secondary. When I have it down to the frame, it will be getting completely overhauled. Axles, brakes, engine, transmission and transfer case will all be brought back to new condition. I will not give her a truck that is iffy mechanically.

It had a family of squirrels take up residence in it, so I am gutting the interior. There is a little bit of rust in the cab corners, but mechanical work will be done before body work. You can still drive and have fun with a little rust here and there.

This will be her DD/fun truck. She has been begging for something with a manual transmission, and I am happy that I will be able to give that to her. Her truck will be getting the 33" KM2s from my Mountaineer.

The 71/69 will become my DD truck, and the Mountaineer will become... well, it will become something...

I like the cinnamon and creme combo. Had one of those in a '79 F150 flavor before I got my current truck.

The only one that isn't mine is the 79 F150, and its my dads. He got the 400 out of the Bronco, and is having that rebuilt for his F150.

The brown F250 is in rough shape. I got tetanus just looking at it. You couldn't carry a basket ball in the box with out losing it, and the floor is gone in the cab. Has a few good fenders though, and the hood is decent.

Thanks everyone, I decided that I will just jump in with both feet. I will definitely be in over my head at times, but it will be a lot of fun, and I am really excited about getting my wife the truck she has always wanted.

Before we were married, she had told me how much she like old Ford trucks, so I told her to grab me a few pictures off the internet of what she liked so I would know. At this time, she did not know what I had back on the farm.

She showed me a picture of a dark blue, long box 75 F150, almost identical to the 77 F250. So, yeah, it will feel good to give her the truck of her dreams. :D
