Replace rear diff gasket ?

Is there a way to replace the gasket on the front of the rear diff without having to pull the axles..etc??

No. You've got to pull both axels out a few inches. Better have a floor jack handy and a buddy to help, that pumpkin is heavy!

Did you verify that the vent tube is clear first? I've had leaking seals that started because the vent was plugged and building pressure and leaking out the seal. Unplugging the vent stopped the leaking seal.

Thanks for the replies, that's what I figured. Just looking for an easy way out, oh well. Any thing else I should check out whil in there? What is the lube capacity? Limited slip?

Anytime...I think the spec book does show the amount/type of additive for LS...I'm just too beat and tired to remember where it is....sorry
