Im trying to hook up my tail lights on the 79. I got one of them hooked up the turn signal works fine when the headlights are off. As soon as i turn the head lights on the hazards come on. I was looking to see if there was any wireing diagrams maybe i got something crossed?

Actually you're seeing fairly common issues. First, try to get everything wired up correctly - I've had troubles before trying to find problems when something is missing from the circuit. Get everything wired up and known good bulbs. Most common problems (after completing the wireup) are corroded lamp sockets and bad ground sources. Make sure you're getting good grounds with a meter, including bed to frame, and check your sockets for good continuity and/or voltage. If the basics check out, move on to componentry, i.e. light switch (notorious), turn signal/e-flash switch. This is a great time to switch over the headlight system to use relays instead of running all that current thru the poor little headlight switch.
