Possibly buying an '02 Taurus

TheRoadVirus

High-Steppin' Mo-Sheen
I need some opinions on what to look for, other than the common things.

This car is in pretty good shape for what it is. It does have 209,000 km, though. I need this car for 10 weeks and then it's going to be used as an extra for my parents while I'm in school.

It has the 3.0l duratec 24v v6. I'm going to assume it has a timing belt, what's the interval supposed to be on it?

Thanks in advance, guys.

The Taurus is a good car, my mom has one the same year. They have had no mechanical things go wrong with it, other than one time in a parking lot the shift linkage came off of the transmission, so she was stuck in park in her parking spot.

Other than that, its been flawless. Reliable, good economy and comfortable.
