Stock Market spit up a hairball today

Don't get confused about todays selloff. Press sez it's over interest rate worries. I say it's about this. When the Fed b*tch slaps the 2nd largest bank the way it did today, that's a BIG deal. Imagine- Fed tells Worst Fargo

1. Can't increase their asset size. Translated, no more mergers or acquisitions until further notice.

2. Four board members have to GTFO. That's unprecedented. Not unwarranted, just unprecedented.

The REAL message is there's no such thing anymore as "Too big to fail." WF has 1.7 Trillion (that's correct). Now there's a message that'll send shock waves down Wall St.

I'd feel better if Sen. Elizabeth Warren wasn't the one pushing the Federal Reserve to take action. ????

A Senator (any senator) has about as much influence as you or I on Fed policy. Worst Fargo had not only a history of bad practices, but also a history of failing to address it's business practices.

The 50 DMA is 2716 - 6% below the high
The 200 DMA is 2532 - 12% below the high.

Two numbers to watch. This only works because the futures traders look at those numbers and react as well. Call it the self fulfilling prophecy. We'll see how this pans out. This chart should self-update.

I'm going to ask the wife if I can open an ETF non-retirement account tonight and buy some index funds while they're on the blue light special.

Wells is the most crooked bank around, I wouldn't do business with them if they were my last option, I'd open my own bank.

My youngest son had a terrible experience with a WF Bank in Moscow, Idaho.

No love here for Worst Fargo either. Somewhere in those mergers we went from a LT relationship with 1ST Interstate to the WF peeps. Been with US Bank for over 10 years now- no issues.

Bounced right off of 2530. Now to see if that actually holds. If it doesn't, look out below.

It's likely not going to hold below 10% of peak.
