My favorite river

Its a cell phone shot, not the greatest. I grew up next to this river and have been fishing it for over 20 years.

Hooked up with a brooktrout.

Beauty of a brooktrout. Love the red and white on the fins.

It is beautiful Country, and yes its very much my happy place. Unless I'm not catching anything. Then its a very frustrating place. More cell phone photography. This is the mouth of the river in the previous pics. This River runs through the edge of the city where I live and this location is a 10min walk from my front door.
Looking up river

Looking down river.

And the rainbow that made my day

That's a nice trout. Did you measure it ?
I caught a 24" puppy drum today but forgot to take a picture before filleting it.

When you have a fish break water and take your fly, your hooked. I would recommend you and the wifey to try it out. From the cork to the butt of the rod is 11". I would guess the rainbow is around 15". There must be tons of types of fish to catch out on the ocean. I've never been on the ocean before. I would like to go to the keys and fish the flats.
