What Cars did you grow up with?

I was just curious to see what cars you were around in your "formative years"? :D Here are mine.

I was born in the back seat of this monster between Moscow and Coeur d'Alene Idaho. The parents never said where I was conceived at.....

My two favorite trucks of my formative years. I left the rear end of one in a Shakey's Pizza Parlor one night.

Got T-boned in this one when an elderly lady ran a stop-light. Got spun around twice. She was trying to beat a red light. :D

This sounds like a cool thread....down the road, I'd like to find some pics of my old vehicles......

My very first car was a 1966 Ford Falcon I bought when I was 16 years with money I saved up for 2 years from delivering newspapers. Loved that car!!!

Man, had a hard time finding a picture online....this is the closest thing I can come up with.

Do you mean geographically speaking, or back seat speaking?

Nice, Ken. I spent some time in my Aunt's falcon, also.

Don't have any pics...but growing up, my old man always had a Bronco and super cab in the driveway...mom always has a grand marquis. Then Dad's bidness started booming, he had a 95 C350 and then ordered Thunder the very next year. Mom got a Dodge conversion van (pardon my bad language). Then the bottom dropped out and they started driving $1500 beaters.

I was conceived in a Camaro, but my father wised up in his later years. Spent a lot of time in a purple OBS flareside, and a few of my grandfather's Lincolns. My mother had an Escort powered by a Cosworth engine when I was young, but later switched to a few Ford SUVs.

1974 Dart, which got hard core t-boned by a 79 Mustang. Dart got replaced by a 79 Volare. Then the 79 E150 was bought for hauling the kids and the camper around. First truck i remember was a 70's Dodge D250 4x4 extended cab, which got replaced by a 79 F250 Supercab, then replaced by a brand new 1984 F250 diesel Supercab.

Dad- '50 Olds 88. Drove it as his beater until '65 when the radiator fell out.

Dad- 1964 Mercedes 220SE. Looked just like the '60, but with fuel injection, automatic, and... wait for it... power steering!

Mom- 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix. Twin of this car, with a tri-power 421 that never ran right.

pontiac-grandprix-1964a.jpg

1965 Olds Cutlass Coupe. Replaced the totalled Mercedes. Dad loved this car.

Mom- 1966 Chrysler New Yorker. Big, heavy, fast. And rattled.

Dad- 1967 Mercedes 250SE. Hands down, the most unreliable car we've ever owned.

dad- 1970 Mercedes 280SE. Like the 67, but reliable.

1970 Mercury Marquis. Big, square, comfy, reliable. Put more miles on this car than any the folks ever owned because of the gas crunch in '73.

Dad's had a continuous stream of bottom-rung Fords since 1977...bought new, driven somewhere around a decade and 100k miles, then replaced with something similar.

The first one I really remember looked just like this, and it lasted long enough I got most of my early clutch practice in it, in parking lots, lawns and driveways:

Mom had an '88 Voyager, bought used...notable for having been custom ordered entirely stripped save an oversize gas tank. Interior looked kinda like this- not red, but with window cranks and that exceedingly rare extra pedal:

Then, as I got a little older, I helped a friend turn this:

into this:

as his first car.
