Yeah i've seen those but I still need to do a bunch of mods moving shock brackets and then I have to go and hunt down more hard to find parts, I dont believe in the " oh its all over the counter parts" Yeeeeaaaah, i've gone down that road enough times to know what they tell you to get is lke finding Jimmy Hoffa and big foot playing texas hold Em' with Elvis in a UFO...

I found one, but its nearly 4 grand :headbang: come on people its just a crummy brake conversion kit not a heart transplant.

Well I did some searching for the same thing and found the following:

B.C. Bronco - http://www.bcbroncos.com/rearbrakes08.html
Blackbirds Custom Trucks - http://www.blackbirdscustomtrucks.com/index8.html
Currie Enterprises - http://www.currieenterprises.com/ces...E.aspx?id=1920
Bronco Graveyard - http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-..._1_2_studs.htm
Streetrod Manufacturing - http://www.tsmmfg.com/2500.htm
Steel Tech Solutions - http://www.steeltechsolutions.com/RE...PAGE_CODE.html
Stainless Steel Brakes - http://www.ssbrakes.com

A response from Currie;

"Since you have a 1977 f-150, no the explorer discs wont fit. it is the wrong housing end for mounting, and the wrong offset for how far the axles stick out of the housing. You have the old style big bearing ends, and what ever your Strange axles have for an offset? the stock would have been 2.365" brake space. To get a bolt on kit, i would recommend you call Master Power brakes. They use stock ford and chevy calipers and rotors so you can use over the counter parts. None of the kits i offer will you get a over the counter bolt on replacement rotor. you would have to have the lug pattern redrilled. Let me know if you have any other questions."

Now checking Master Power Brakes they only list kits for up to '72 (2WD) for the F150 and up to '77 for the Bronco, at the low, low price of $795.00......Gulp!

A response from Blackbirds;

"Yes the big bearing kit is the one you would need. our brackets are all bolt on. sorry we lost most of our pics when we change our computers a while back an have not had time to take new ones. please let us know if we can help."

Now the SSBrakes kit is also for small bearing I believe.

Hope that helps. I'm picking up a kit this winter for rear discs and doing the Thunderbird front calipers and Hydroboost. I'll take lot's of pics and post in the spring when it comes back out of storage.

Unfortunately I do need to run an emergency brake to be street legal, lots more choices if you don't.

Great links thank you very much!
But I have a 79.
:)

A '79. Well I based the search on a big bearing F150 9" with 31 spline axles so you would fall in that group. I was trying to show that there are a lot of kits advertised but few actually fit when you check into it.
