5.0 AOD 4.10 LSD

Purchase day, December 21, 2011. I purchased this truck for 1k dollars. At the Time it had 159,290 miles on it. Drove 100 miles to check it out.
When I got there I instantly fell in love. Well I actually fell in love with the ad on craigslist. Haha. I love Flaresides. I looked it over. Popped the hood. Checked everything. And fired her up. And couldn’t get the smile off my face due to the hacked off exhaust after the resonator. Took her for a test drive. And verified that it only had first and second gear. Was hoping it just needed a fluid change. Bought it from guy. And drove it all the way home… 100 miles… but actually drove it 160 miles.. went 30 miles out of the way cause we got lost!! But about 10 miles from home, the truck began to overheat.. I mean come on, I drove it 150 miles doing 45-55 in second gear.. Aint a big surprise.. LOL. This is where I pulled over to let it cool off, grab and bite to eat, and take a picture.

After I got it home, the next morning I couldn’t wait.. I took some pictures of it. Sitting there next to the Frankenstein Nightmare of a 87 F250….

So then on December 22, 2011. I pulled the codes. Throttle Position code, and EGR valve code. Changed the throttle position. Still issues with the transmission. At this time I was thinking it was a AOD-E.. Which luckily I was wrong!!

They were very busy and low on techs so it took till the next day for them to check it out.

It need a Transmission Rebuild. So I told them go at it!

January 4, 2012, I got the truck back!!!! YAY!!
Transmission has upgraded Gears, Clutches, Bands, Valve Body, Pump. The line pressure was turned up to help firm up shifts.
The Night I got the truck back!!!

The Ideas then began to start flowing on how to make it my own!




Just like when purchased still!! Just before I began!!

Sold the 87 F250 finally.. took the toolbox out. And put it in the bed. Sideways but I like it!

TIME FOR A TUNEUP!!!!
MSD Streetfire Coil, MSD Distributor Cap and Rotor, Motorcraft copper plugs gapped @.055, 8MM Plug wires.

Washed the Truck. And took a few shots!

2 NEW REAR TIRES AND EXHAUST!!
I decided on P255/70R15 Mastercraft Avenger’s for the tires. For now they are white letter in, till I get new fronts, then they’ll be white letter out!
As For the exhaust I went with straight pipe after the Resonator, exiting in the GEN 2 Lightning location with a custom Y pipe to make the tips give it that look I wanted!!

Did a Headlight Restoration kit on it, and also added some Cool Blue Headlights, cant really tell in these pics.. but at night its super obvious!

yep! and the best part is.. most i've spent (other than transmission) is the tune-up! that was only 120 bucks!
