Alright guys, had a great productive week. Enjoy the pics. She fires up, and runs nicely. I changed the v-belt, and all my fluids are good to go. Drive shaft is also bolted up and ready to go.

Old gas tank ripped out. Creative juices are flowing, maybe strip, clean, section , and turn it into a sub box, 2 subs, 2 speakers, and 2 tweeters and mount the amp under the dash.

Tank ripped out, B&M shifter installed. Since this is a c4 swapped truck, I had to get a shifter for an 80s+ Ford c4 car, and made it fit. Shifts great

Dodge door weatherstripping came off another one of my trucks that had the weather strip replaced from an accident.

Laid the weather strip around the portion of the frame to protect and cushion the gas tank.

Gas tank in and sitting good. Holes drilled, and fuel line plumbed. Brakes also secured nicely.

Got home today, bolted the tank down, swapped out the relay to starter cable, and adjusted the parking brake. Hooked battery up and she ran. Fired up, sounded great. Until the carb started puking fuel. Oh well. Minor set back.

I also have a brand new windshield for the truck coming. Glass guy at my shop found me a brand new one for 180, hell ship it to me or bring it to me at the shop or home.

I used to live there, on the sugar hill side 8 years ago. I worked for Makita for 10 years.

I drive by makita everyday. I work in sugar hill at a shop

What do you think it is? Blown power valve?

Its the service drain plug or some shit. The carb is actually missing a piece. No rebuild kit has it, new carbs have it but for temporary use I dont need to spend the $$. Ill plug the hole and drive it till the 351 is ready for a drop in

It will sit till tomorrow at the shop. I will bring it home tomorrow night, I have alot of shit in the bed of my truck ill empty at work tomorrow. I will most likely take the wipers off, and run without them for a while till the truck is sealed on the interior. PO said he thinks the motors quit. I havent had the truck running long enough to diagnose the wiper motors. Wont take me long to diag, Then Ill go from there. But wipers have to come off, since they are in the up right position.

Glass made it home, carb is fixed, fuel hose for the filler neck ordered. Tomorrow I guess ill cut the old glass out, and finish up some small things. Went to look at wood for the bed. Ill be making the wood bed, not buying the kit.

Carb is dead and f'''ed. So tossing the 240 and putting the 351 in earlier than expected. PO did a hack job in the carb, and its just a waste, and im not wasting the money it costs for a new one to have no garuntee the engine is really right. Seeing as all the problems the engine has given us from sitting, Im done with it. 351 time, since I have one already that I know runs.

Updated pics too

Today was fun, and pics from last week. Internet had issues. So tore the 240 carb down, to rebuild, found it was missing just about all its guts. So scrapped the carb, and decided to rid of the 240. Yanked trans and engine out, bolted trans to 351 to compression check. Great compression except #4. So Tore it down, found intake valve to be rusted. Head job will come this week. Windshield got removed and tossed, to find 0 rust where the windshield was. I was too happy over that.

Decided on making my own wood bed, pics to come when that comes too.

all the parts needed will be here tomorrow. Mainly gaskets. Took apart the valve, and cleaned it up, put it back together and works like normal. So for now, I will run the 2bbl 351 in the truck while I do the body work and what not. Once the body work is square and ready for paint, off will come the body, and ill hop the engine up.

Hopefully by Saturday the engine/trans will be in the truck, and new mounts for the motor will be welded and she will be running under that sweet v8 power.

Update. Engine rebuilt, valve is free. Compression is great, and there is no leakage of anything anywhere.

Carb is rebuilt, and Everything checked out great.

Trans did not look in very good shape, so let it drain all week with torque convertor. Filling and slapping on the motor tomorrow.

Engine I hope will go in no issues, start and run.

Progress will be picking up once it runs, but I am now on a mission.

I have decided to move from Georgia to Texas where I am from.... So this truck has to be running, and my other truck has to be set and ready for the haul.
