Looking for a pitman arm for a 78 F150 4X4. When I got the truck the pitman arm flopped up and down. Took it off by hand (no puller) cleaned the splines and tried to reinstall it by adding another washer between the nut and the arm. it still moves a little but its better. I'm hoping that the wear is in the pitman arm and not on the gear box shaft. I can find them for the 76-77 150's but not the 78-79 which are different. The only ones I have found for the 78-79 are dropped arms which I can't use on a stock suspension. Anyone know where one could be found? No 4X4's in the local junk yard and at this point a good used one would be better than what I have.

Theres an NOS pitman arm on ebay right now. Not sure of the application though.

There are three different types / Super Cab is different than Regular Cab. With/without P/S makes a difference.

Pitman Arms have ID numbers cast onto them. Look at your original, see what the ID number is, then compare it with Marked.

Regular Cab

D8TZ-3590-A .. Piman Arm, use with M/S / Marked: D8TA-3590-AA / Obsolete

Application: 1978 F150 4WD
