If i rebuilt this engine chances are I would need a crankshaft due to the scratching from the metal. What else would need attention? I looked at the ford rebuild kit. it seems reasonable. this motor has not had head problems yet and the studs come in the kit along with the high pressure pump. What else is going to give me problems.
The metal particles still in the oil passages will break loose and foul your low pressure oil pump and front cover, starting the process all over again.

Yes I agree but I am talking about hot tanking and boring the block. pretty much starting over. can you get the injectors rebuilt / cleaned. I guess you pretty much need to go thru everything.

will a 7.3 bolt up to the 6.0 trans? How much of the wiring will be different from the 6.0 to the 7.3 Is this a stupid idea? 7.3 in place where a 6.0 was? I am still thinking 460 and an E4od.
