The brand does equal quality and the life you can expect out of your plugs, but I agree that you have a different issue. Most of the time, when it's a timing issue, the bad plugs have a melted down tip. Are you sure your controller has been bypassed correctly? I feel like its a constant hot problem.

That is my thinking. I simply set them up to where I manually power the relay. Anything else is asking for trouble. Engine condition does not swell tips, but melt is the only possibility. Over advanced timing would show up with driveability troubles, as well as higher operating temps.

Well..without the controller.hooked up I put my momentary. Switch that switches 12v in its place... unless I am.missing something.. I did see your link but my gen truck.seems even.simpler.. just 12v to.energize the relay. And the relay is simply switch the high current 12v straight to the glow plugs.
at this.point the.only way they would stay on longer is if the relay was sticking..I do have my dash apart so I havnt seen the light..but I can hear it. Maybe it could be still passkng juice???

Stuck my bezel bac on to use the glow plug light. Made a dump run and no abnormal relay activation.
Still searching.
Guess I could blow another $40 on 4 motorcrafts just to eliminat that possibility? ?

Don't know if you have them down that way, but O'Reilly's handles them.

Well just checked. None around me but I can order online for 11.49 . Something tells me after shipping it will still be cheaper than the dealer. Lol guess it wouldn't hurt to call and check
