i was just wondering if anyone has done a engine R&R on one of these cars before..

i may be doing one for a friend here soon..

she is a high school friend... well actually known each other since 2nd grade.

but anyways.. she's tight on money and a shop quoted her 2800 bucks..

HAHAHA worked up the math according to book time and at 65 dollars an hour after everything including a used engine and all parts oils etc.. it's sitting at like 1700 bucks..

anyways... back to original question,

anyone ever done one before??

Aren't they part way under the cowl? If so, it is lift required. Chrysler led the way on that format. The 96-newer vans are that way, no room to get to even the back valve cover without removing the intake. Haven't had the displeasure of doing one of them though, so it may be different than I am thinking.

Yep, it is an out the bottom type.:
