Another SCP Bus?

A little background before asking the question.........

Since the last thread concerning the SCP bus, an unexpected discovery was made. The EATC unit is actually, in part at least (and what the ? will be about), communicating with the SCP bus! This is known to be true as the blower motor when the unit is in auto (and the unit is set to heat the vehicle above ambient temp) and the engine is cold will, by design, either speed up after 3 1/2 minutes after the engine is started or when the engine warms to a *certain* temp (that ( figured out). Guess what? I discovered it didn't take 3 1/2 minutes and the blower speeds up when the engine reaches 120*. Confirmed the temp by using the Torque app and verified all test results mroe than once.

So the flipside is, currently the EATC unit is not receiving the vehicle speed data that is on the SCP bus; this info is used to update the outside temp on the display more frequently when the vehicle is moving. This has been confirmed, and without speed data the unit defaults to increasing temp by 1* every 20 minutes.

Finally, the question: if a module, in this case an EATC module, is in fact communicating with the SCP bus, shouldn't it be able to extract all info from the bus that the module is designed to extract, regardless of which vehicle that module came from and when the data (vehicle speed and engine temp) are proven to be transmitted on the SCP bus?
