Brake control issue?

In the last few weeks I started getting a "Trailer Wiring Fault" on the display. Not a big deal, if I shut the truck off and start it back up, it goes away. Yesterday just for kicks, I hit reset, and the fault went away.

Check for water intrusion into the trailer connector at the rear of the truck. We've had some issues with water doing this.

Thanks, will do Vince. Oh and if it makes a difference, it only does it when I first start the truck and step on the brake the first time, then it doesn't do it anymore.

From the water, it develops corrosion in the connector. Stepping on the brake, the power shorts across the connections creating a fault.
